 Edging eucalypt with Woodmizer bandsaw

The first cut in edging boards
The second cut, targeting fillets as a by-product.

Up to 15 boards can be edged together, but make sure the band is sharp, especially for larger batches.

Unedged Boards (slabs) are accumulated until there is sufficient of a similar size to stack edgeways on the bench for edging.

The first cut is made with the bark upwards. The boards are then turned over as a batch and the bottom edge sawn.

Boards with pith or defect core are batched together. These will have a deeper cut made which removes the inner defective wood.

Fillets can be targeted if required. The target green widths for eucalypt boards is 83mm, 110mm, 136mm and 162mm. These are inch increments allowing for oversized cuts.

The boards are then flipped and reclamped
